Early in June, the kitten was discovered exploring the streets of Commerce, California. The trapping service picked her up, and then she was moved to the Friends for Life RescueNetwork, a group of animal rights activists, giving the infant a chance at a new life.

The pet baby had fleas but was otherwise in good health and spirits. When they gave her the name Naomi, it was immediately apparent how spunky and full of pure feline charm she was.

Jacqueline DeAmore, the founder of Friends for Life RescueNetwork, said that Naomi needed a buddy to educate her how to be a cat since she was irritable and suffered from severe lonely kitten syndrome.

A few days earlier, Jacqueline had rescued another stray kitten named Sushi, who by nature was the perfect match for Naomi.

“I immediately knew that they were destined to be together. Sushi was so sweet, calm, affectionate and purred deafeningly loud. Her sweet, playful nature put even the most ferocious kittens at ease.”

When both girls’ health improved, they finally met, and they got along like they had known each other their entire lives. Naomi warmly welcomed Sushi as she purposely cuddled up to her new best buddy.

While hunting for a kitten to adopt, Los Angeles resident Vicki Arias came across a picture of one on Instagram. She was extremely smitten and believed Naomi was the ideal match for her.

The first person to show interest in her was myself. I offered to take her because I saw it as a message, recalls Vicki.

“When I discovered she was a member of a pair, it was ideal for me!”

Vicki was thrilled to bring home two kittens all at once. She thought it vital to bring them home together since she knew how much they depended on one another.

Our first encounter was in my small bathroom, where, after looking at my pants, both kittens decided they liked sitting in my cross-legged nest,” says Vicki.

“Sushi, in particular, was nodding off while lying on her stomach while I stroked her.

“Sushi has obviously adopted the role of the older sibling, teaching Naomi how to stop biting and scratching so severely. Like many younger sisters, Naomi imitates the elder one by performing the same actions.

Sushi draws Naomi’s attention, who is in search of a mentor.

“I like to think of Sushi as a potential Olympian since she picks things up quickly and does a great job at being a cat. Vicki claims that Naomi pays great attention to her, analyzes her, and makes a valiant effort to resemble Sushi.

“Sometimes she even literally steps on her paw prints. She’s also a little more impatient, talking to us a lot.”

Sushi has a calming effect on his little sister. She looks after her and loves to wrap her arms around her when they sleep.

Vicki mistakenly believed she was taking home a kitten, but she instead adopted the ideal marriage.

They became very amusing kittens that adore nothing more than chasing them other, their balls, or a strand of my hair that has fallen out, naturally interspersed with enormous cuddles, somehow very rapidly as they grew older.
