Finn, a charming 2-year-old Pekingese-Brussels Griffon mix, possesses an unmatched love for flowers, especially when spring arrives. Even as a puppy, Sarah Geers noticed Finn’s enchantment with blooms. “My father’s zinnia garden captivated him,” Geers explained. “He would simply sit there, inhaling their fragrance, not attempting to bite or disturb them—just savoring their scent.”
Finn’s infatuation with flowers doesn’t waver, even when the blossoms aren’t in season. “I’ll catch him hopping onto our coffee table, delicately sniffing store-bought flowers,” Geers revealed, smiling. “Occasionally, he’s even intrigued by artificial plants.”
However, Finn’s devotion to his family surpasses his love for flowers. This petite pup cuddles with his father under blankets and loyally shadows his mother’s every move. “He’s like an extension of me, always by my side, and he absolutely adores sitting on people’s laps,” Geers mentioned. “He’s quite the social butterfly and relishes outings to places like Target, HomeGoods, Lowe’s, and any spot where people gather. He’s a people-lover and craves affection. He’s truly a center of attention.”
Amid his moments of savoring floral fragrances and accepting pets from adoring strangers, Finn finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. “During our visits to HomeGoods, you might catch him investigating the artificial flowers,” Geers shared, chuckling. “He loves riding in the shopping cart, peeking out to sniff the blooms as we roll down the aisles. He was particularly enchanted by the flowers from my wedding!”
While all flowers seem to entice him, Finn has a special fondness for pansies. These vibrant blooms, fortunately safe for dogs, hold a particular allure, yet Finn restrains himself from nibbling on his beloved petals.
